Probiotics are beneficial micro-organisms.

One week ago I watched City News, and I got interested in the topic of probiotics. Probiotics are beneficial micro-organisms.

Nowadays people have ecological balance issue. It is connected with pollution, modified food, using of chemicals and drugs. As a result, people have big problem with their health.

There are many bacteria in human’s body. Some of them are very important for digestion. Dietitians, as a solution to the problem, suggest taking some probiotics as they help to ease many biological processes in our body.

Probiotics are found in some products that you can buy in stores. Also, you can buy probotic supplement at the pharmacy. Most of the people use it without dietitian’s consultation but if you take any prescription drugs it is better to consult with doctor.

Overall, using probotics as a way to stimulate digestion and improve immune system leads to good results. Furthermore, probotics do not contain any artificial elements which means that most of people can use them without harm for their’s health.

Canadian and Russian People

Two days ago I was thinking about life in Toronto and I caught myself on interesting fact.

If you look at people who live in Toronto in general you can find that they are very kind. In contrast, generalizing people in Russia I can say they are angry. Why people in these two developed country are so different?
I lived in Russia for all my life and before I arrived in Canada I didn’t visit any other country. I saw how Canadian people are friendly from the first day in Toronto. I founded it in the airport, in every shop, on the street and lately at the York University. If someone doesn’t know how to get to some where, he or she can ask and any person will help with big pleasure. Usually, nobody will leave you alone with you trouble. Also, people can great you and ask how are you on the street even they don’t know you.
Like I said before, Russian people are angry; they look like they always have problems. They are often in aggressive moods and if you ask them about anything you will feel the same. Where do people behave this way? – Everywhere. For example, you can see it in an airport, in a cinema, especially in public transport. Some times you are afraid to ask somebody for help.
Often, I ask some people “Why?” and I agree with one opinion. Canadian and Russian people have different laws, different government and as a result different conditions of life. One of important requirement in people’s life is money. Minimum wage in Russia is much lower than in Canada. Russians are warring about their salary and that’s why they are aggressive.

The visit from Russia

It was a long time when I was waiting my mother in law from Russia. The day of her arriving changed many times, and finally she was a sight for sore eyes. My husband Oleg and I were very happy to see her because no one of our family members is living in Canada. In addition, this visit is meaningful for me because it brought a piece of news and many gifts from my mom.
So, she came for ten days and we began to have fun together. Every day after noon we were shopping on different stores. We spent a lot of time there. The most interesting purchases were clothes for my future baby. Everything looks so cute and sweet, so we could not stop to buy it. Also, we walked on beautiful streets and had a rest in cafeterias. Each day was finished with family dinner at home. It was so great to have a conversation with my mother in law and my husband together around the table.
Furthermore, my mother in law cooked very delicious Russian food every day. Because I miss about mom’s lunches and dinners, it was as events to enjoy this food. Moreover, she taught me some recipes. In addition, she gave me some classes about baby care. Thus, Oleg and I felt warm family environment in our home.
In conclusion, it was greatest days over the last 6 months and it will stay in my mind for a long time. Of course, I will miss my mother in law till our next meeting.

The Lecture at York

This week I attended one lecture at York, and it was interesting experiment. I graduated two Universities in one of small towns of Russia, so I can compare lectures in these two different places. There are difference between numbers of student, behavior of student and stile of teaching.
First of all, numbers of student in my native town fewer then at York. For example, about 50 students attend a general lecture every day at the University in my town. In contrast, there are about 500 students per lecture in Toronto’s Universities. Therefore, lecture halls at York are bigger than in my town.
Second, it is a big difference between behaviors of students. You will never see students with notebooks at lectures in my town. Also, students can not eat food and drink coffee during a lecture. However, there are many students with notebooks at lectures at York and they can eat food and drink coffee during a lecture.
Finally, because of small groups of student and small lecture halls in my town instructors do not have a necessity of using microphones and other supporting goods during lectures. In addition they give a lecture material as dictation and student do not have a chance to listen and understand it. In contrast, instructors use a microphones and computers with slide show at Universities in Toronto.
In conclusion, you can see these differences very clear and I think lectures at York are more useful than in my town.

Does money influence your status among your friend?

This week I attended the Discussion Club and the group of students discussed the question "Does money influence your status among your friend?"
In spite of my bias about this question it was really interesting to know opinions of other students. Somebody think that money does not influence on person status among their friends, somebody think it does.
What people do during all their life? In general, they are studing and after they are working. They are trying to earn a lot of money. Why? Because we depend of food and things we can by with money. Thus, there is dependence between people's life and money.
If one person has enough money he or she feels themselves comfortable in all different situations. Other person does not, he or she will feel discomfort and it will bother this person all time. Because of different situation these people could not be a good friend. There for I think people should choose their friends in equal financial status. As a result I have friend with approximately the some financial situation as I am. That is why I think money does not influence my status among my friend. However, on the discussion question in general for people I have the answer "Yes, it does".
